IN CASE OF STAINS

A wine stain on your suit, a jam stain on your top or a blood stain on your dress… Accidents can happen to anyone at any time.

5àsec provide you with valuable advice to minimize spreading and prevent further damage to your clothing before entrusting them to us.

5àsec advice:
Life-saving techniques: do not wait too long to bring your item of clothing to the dry cleaner as the longer you wait, the harder it will be to remove the stain...

Do not wash the item without knowing the appropriate treatment. If the stain remains after the washing it will be harder to remove it.

WINE STAIN

If the stain is fresh, remove any excess with an absorbent paper and pat the stained area with a water-soaked towel.

BLOOD STAIN

Never use warm or hot water as it will cook the blood and set the stain. The best thing to do is to soak the bloodstained item of clothing in cold water.

TOMATO SAUCE

Remove any excess with absorbent paper. Dab the stain with a cloth soaked in water and rubbing alcohol.

GREASE STAIN

Absorb any excess with absorbent paper.

INK STAIN

Remove any excess with absorbent paper and dab the stain carefully without spreading it. India ink stains are unfortunately unremovable.

CHOCOLATE STAIN

Remove any excess with absorbent paper if the chocolate is melted. If the chocolate had already dried and hardened, apply pure glycerin directly onto the stain in order to soften it up and remove the excess.

NAIL POLISH STAIN

Never apply solvent, as it will damage the fabric and create rings.

WAX STAIN

Put an absorbent paper onto the stained area and use a warm iron on top of it in order to absorb the wax.

CHEWING-GUM

Put the gum-stained item of clothing in the freezer or apply an ice cube onto the gum to harden and remove it while carefully twisting the fabric to remove any residue.
